There is REAL power in the decisions we make.

Magic even!

With dozens of decisions being made by all of us every single day, it’s easy to see how we come to think of them as annoying little nothings!

It is only when we have decided, and then committed to our decision completely that the Universe begins to conspire in our favor. As long as we are uncertain because we cannot see the way, we will be left hanging.

Have you ever wondered why it seems as though you are not being supported by Divine Grace in your decision? Wondering why things are NOT flowing or working?

Here’s the trick to complete life mastery: Make the decision completely without concern for the “how”. Get off the fence and jump completely into the pool. It is only after we have completely committed to the path that the means to actually walk it becomes available to us.

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy; the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth. The ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!”

William Hutchison Murray

Making the choice saves more than just us…

Once again I’m reminded of the man dying of thirst in the desert.  The very same man that comes across a water pump with a jug of water beside it. He reads a sign that says “pour the water into the pump to prime it and pump all the water you need”.

He stands there dying, with a small amount of the substance that can save him in his hands.

What a decision to have to make!!

So here’s the question: Does he drink from the jug and perhaps give his body enough water to get out of the desert? Does he stand there debating on it, unwilling to make the decision until he literally drops? (This is unfortunately the course of (in)action that many of us currently take in life). Or does he follow the instructions?

Let’s examine the process of the decisions we make (or fail to make) in our lives.

Standing in indecision is foolish, but many of us do so anyway based on our fears. We are afraid that our decision will be poor and that we won’t be able to recover from it. What we don’t factor in is the longer we stand still, the more difficult it becomes to move again.

Welcome to the comfort zone! Those barren little deserts where nothing grows!

In reality, drinking the water from the jug is as much of a gamble as pouring it into the pump is. There’s a chance it won’t give us enough water to make it out. Yes, it is action and that is a step up from standing beside the pump and dying from indecision!

The thing with this course of action is however, not only are we potentially destroying ourselves; those that come after us are just as lost due to our inability to trust. You see, they will arrive at the pump and not even have the option of priming it OR drinking the water!

THIS is symbolic of embracing our power in life. When we stand in indecision (standing by the pump frozen in fear), or make the choice to live small (drinking the water from the jug), we have no way of being able to shine the way for others.

There is only one path that allows us to completely own our empowerment, create abundance and light the way for others, and that is the path of trusting in the process and making the decision completely.

There is no time better than right now to ask yourself: “where am I stuck in indecision, or making the decision to play small?” Only upon answering this are you able to completely embrace your power and give your gift to the world.
